Earcons Magnesium Oxide board is a new generation of high performance, environmentally friendly, Earcons Magnesium Oxide based building Board (MgO board) is a factory-made, non-insulating sheathing board product. It can be used for a number of applications including wall and ceiling linings, fascias, soffits, tile backing, underlayment and Wall Paneling Construction. It is made of magnesium oxide, a type of mineral cement, and is commonly called simply "Earcons Magnesia” due to its chemical composition of magnesium (chemical symbol Mg) and oxygen (chemical symbol 0). Think of Earcons Magnesia as a type of sheathing board (sort of like Acoustical Wall Paneling) but with much-improved characteristics such as fire resistance, weather ability, strength, resistance to mold, mildew, and so on. Earcons Magnesia Board is available in many forms, and for building construction comes in various thicknesses and sheet sizes. It also comes in various grades, such as smooth finishes, rough textures, and utility grades. It is white, beige or light gray in color, and has a "hard" sound when rapped with your knuckles—somewhat like Portland cement board. Earcons Magnesia board is fire-resistant, non-combustible product with fire rate: No flammable Class A1 to European standards. High fire resistance of Earcons Magnesia boards prevents fire and flame spread thus allowing controlling fire. Non-inflammable A-class material is adopted and will not burn. The limitation of fire endurance is Upto 4 hours. At high temperature Earcons Magnesia board does not emit any toxicants and stifling smoke.
Earcons Magnesia board is water resistant and virtually impervious to water (not more than 0,34weight %) Earcons Magnesia cement used for the production is insoluble in water and prevents delamination of the board as well as swelling after a long-term exposure to water.
No doubt you are aware of the current level of concern about mould and mildew and the very real risks to health. Earcons Magnesia board does not support the growth of mould or mildew at all, as there is nothing in Earcons Magnesia board that is attractive to mould and mildew. Similarly, insects have no interest in it, as it is inedible.
Earcons Magnesia board is completely free of toxins (asbestos, formaldehyde or silica), has no odor and releases that may occur into the environment are not expected to leave any hazardous material even under exposure to high temperature. Earcons Magnesia board consists of only natural mineral ingredients completely free of any toxins. Magnesium oxide, the main ingredient of Earcons Magnesia board, is a mineral product which is widely used in medicine, food industry, water purifying systems, the antiseptic properties of it prevent from mold and mildew grow. Earcons Magnesia is widely used primarily as wallboard alternative to conventional gypsum-based Acoustical wall Partition . The Earcons Magnesia boards can be scored and snapped, sawed, drilled, and fastened to wood or steel framing. It can be used for interior or exterior applications. Earcons Magnesia boards are a good example of the advances made in construction materials to meet changes in building codes for safety and durability.
Earcons Magnesia board is a porous material of sponge-like texture. Humidity does not fill completely in its pores leaving some space for expansion when being frozen. Dimensional stability of Earcons Magnesia board is 50 cycles in freeze / thaw and the loss of mechanical strength is only 3.5% (at the allowable of 18%).
This product has excellent dampness prevention performance. It will be in stable performance, free from expansion or deformation even in high humid places.
Tight material will not leak any dust to pollute the space and thus it is suitable to use in places that requires high cleanness.
This product offers excellent performance in heat insulation and heat preservation. Its performance makes it consume very small quantity of energy even in vile climate. As much as 10 times the heating or cooling energy will be consumed without the use of these BMP if compared. A more comfortable and controllable indoor environment can be provided to the residents.

Due to the presence of fiber-glass scrim Earcons Magnesia board has very high flexibility and can be bent at the radius of 3 meters. Flexural strength of Earcons Magnesia board is 16 MPa, flexural modulus is 28,4 MPa, shear strength is 52,7 MPa. All these properties make it possible to use Earcons Magnesia board for the construction and finishing of the curved surfaces and thus minimize a possibility of its cracking while being transported and installed.
Earcons Magnesia board is characterized by excellent Sound Isolation. It can be successfully used in combination with modern insulation materials (insulant, construction membrane) for exterior decoration of the building at quite low values of Sound Isolation (44db – 60 db).
